Vitae Researcher Development International Conference 2018

The Vitae Conference is the only dedicated event that brings together all those with a strategic and practical role in developing researchers. Last year's event saw over 400 participants, the largest number yet, from the UK and internationally, including pro-vice-chancellors, heads of faculty, heads of graduate schools, HR directors, careers advisors, staff developers and trainers.

Participants at the conference will:

• explore the political context and instruments to attract and retain highly skilled researchers, and drive research excellence including the outcomes of the independent UK Concordat review
• enhance organisational capacity for innovative professional researcher development
• meet the future development needs of researchers for a wide range of careers in and beyond academia
• evidence the value of researchers and researcher development and their impact on research and innovation outputs, researcher careers, economic prosperity and society
